This was my first time installing a new toilet (thanks Covid!) and thought this would be a great and reliable way to do it. NOT CORRECT. My flange is about 1/4" to 3/8" above the finished floor, so I installed it without the blue spacer. He rocked. I disassembled it and took out the black plastic ring. He rocked. I squeezed him a little more. Although in theory I was grateful that I could take it off and put it back on a few times without worrying about the seal leaking - once I took it out, scraped off the wax and put the traditional wax ring, my toilet, one was completely submerged in water. Soil and durable as hell. I think it would be great if your flange was below the surface, but if it's at all proud of the bottom, save yourself your ten bucks and an hour of frustration and get a standard wax ring instead. I love the screw guides for the cabinet. I kept them and used them when I installed the old school wax ring :)
