This ballast was designed for high performance materials that I've had trouble finding elsewhere. This is a programmed start ballast that gives your lamps many more starts than a quick start ballast or quick start ballast. For the price I don't think it gets any better! Compared to other lights in the store with new bulbs, those with these ballasts are a lot brighter than they are! I will probably now make the rest of the lights in my shop using these new ballasts. UPDATE OCTOBER 2019: 2 out of 3 ballasts I bought have failed. Today I bought 2 more and the spare part was already on the shelf. UPDATE FEBRUARY 2020: Now that some time has passed, I can tell you that this is absolute bullshit. I used a spare I had on the shelf to replace the ballast that failed after the last update. The other two sat on the shelf and I didn't bother to fix the other two faulty ballasts. And then another ballast I replaced from the last update just went out and none of the new ballasts I bought and put on the shelf didn't work. I took the ballast from another white one and plugged it into this one after finding 122 volts on the line input thinking I might have an issue with the rest of the build. And it worked fine. Both of these ballasts I bought that sat on the shelf for a long time both deteriorated while sitting. This is obviously rubbish. And I was so happy to have something like this for a pretty good price. Well you obviously get what you pay for. Don't buy this. Just move on from T12, it's already dead technology. LED lighting is the trend and has been since 2016. Okay it's the end of February and the other two ballasts that were in my other store have gone out. So all the credits I bought were used up within 12 months, including two that we didn't even install. I just bought some double priced ballast from Menards and they were a lot heavier and a lot bigger. This means they were well designed. just go somewhere else Don't buy this. No mustard trying to flip the house or anything while you're out there. Such bad quality
