The remote does NOT work and YES I have tried all the new batteries. The board is useless junk. Luckily you CAN use a "clicker" on the cable. This is the only reason why it even got a 2 star rating. Also, you need a VERY powerful air pump to make anything out of it. To stay updated. People with deeper tanks? Forget it. It was a disappointment. I read the reviews but ordered anyway - I should have known better. Luckily the wire clicker stops at RED which is exactly what I need for my "Volcano" (different brand). Much luck!
