I have a 40 lb rescue pup who is learning to behave off a leash. She bit the lines and tried to snatch them from my hands. I've read reviews saying this leash is chew resistant and gets dogs to stop biting the leash, but that wasn't my experience. I used it multiple times a day for a week before the rubber/plastic bits became badly chewed and she was still biting the leash trying to rip it off me. This line was actually a lot worse for us than regular lines because I was worried it would hurt its teeth if it kept biting the cable and it hurt me more than other lines when it pulled on it. The handle is not padded, it just cuts in. Also, it becomes very slippery and difficult to hold in fog or rain. I bought a metal chain leash afterwards and had absolutely no problems with it. Now she learns to behave on a leash much faster.
