I usually use my favorite exercise mats for my senior cat who tends to pee on the floor near my front door (it's a territorial behavior that comes and goes; me tried everything ) and was hoping to switch to them because the gray goes better with my taupe floor and because they're a few bucks cheaper. At first I thought they were great, but after trying them I found that they just don't do what they say - urine leaked right through the "five layers of leak protection" onto the floor. The packaging says the pod holds up to 3 cups, and it couldn't be more than a cup or so. Rather than bringing them back I'll probably just try using a double layer and see if that works as a short-term solution, but next time I'll have to go back to the ones that actually absorb and don't leak through. return. :(
