I clipped this to the front of my desk. It has enough protrusion to keep the cables out of the way. The extension cord's ON/OFF switch has a cover so there's no problem hitting it and accidentally killing the entire strip. The presence of twelve sockets leaves enough space to connect several, even if the connected devices have large brick plugs. I love that some of the most commonly used power tools can be left running all the time instead of constantly changing them. The extension has clips with keyholes. They can be attached to the back, making the bar easy to mount with pan head screws. The cord is long enough to reach an outlet as my studio is small. I find this straight-through extension cord much more convenient than using surge protector extension cords.
