I never considered buying a privacy filter until we had to buy one for school to test online. I wanted it to fit my 13" MacBook perfectly Pro fits so I didn't have to cut or ruin anything. It fits perfectly and has some adhesive strips to fit the monitor. However, I'm afraid that putting it on and taking it off will reduce the stickiness since we don't have tests every day. I started using just duct tape as an alternative to attaching it to my computer. I originally tried leaving it on all the time (no one can see my computer screen), but it's giving me a headache. When you move your head, the black filter starts to move, so you can't see the screen either. I like that it has glossy and so-called matte sides, so one has a better filter and the other has a better image resolution. The only problem with privacy filters (all in our class, not just this one) is that people behind you can see your screen perfectly, and if the person next to you is sitting just right, then they can too. I love how well it fits the screen. It only gives me a headache if I use it for long periods (days) between tests. If you have a 13-inch MacBook Pro, this privacy filter is for you. You'll have to crop some of these yourself, but this is perfect for the screen and works like any other privacy filter, only without the hassle for you.
