Would be 6 stars if they were motion sensitive. They burn all the time when it's dark or in a poorly lit room. Ok, just one LED, low power consumption. However, they have the added benefit of "turning off" when the flashlight is turned on. I needed this option last night. I have a whole house generator that turns on automatically when the power goes out. However, a transformer exploded in my area the other night and my alternator simply had a dead starter battery (now replaced). My house was pitch black, closed for the night. The streetlights went out - nothing. I put about a dozen motion-sensing nightlights around the house (I have a chocolate lab and a black cat) so I can't trip over them, and the nightlights were ALL OFF. It was pretty dangerous to get to my emergency light. These lights solve this problem very well. Power-Out - the light is on! Also, they are equipped with a flashlight, which is enough for safe navigation in the zoo. Strategically placed, they can save lives.
