Bought this as a final item for my Atmos 7.1.4 setup, mostly for movies. SR9040s and DT6.5R ceilings - plug and play (with AVR 6500H). The thing rattled and clicked like crazy. Enter SVS PB-1000. No clipping even at full volume (now I've set it to 30%, LFE controlled by AVR at 120Hz). Smooth response, not boomy and low enough to feel in the chest. If you are unsure which subsidiary to work with, do not hesitate. When money is tight I've bought mine like new from IQ HOME ENTERTAINMENT (Authorized Dealer) - the box was factory sealed and in BRAND NEW condition. Still expensive but worth every penny. Another reason to choose SVS is the 5-year warranty. The box is quite large so make sure you have room for it before ordering. My theater space is about 19x11.
