Surface Book 2 compatibility confirmed

Using the latest Displaylink driver by downloading directly from the Displaylink official website, I can confirm that the updated TOTU Dock is 100% compatible with Microsoft Surface Book 2 (see first photo). I was looking for a triple display (2 x Displayport + 1 x HDMI) to use in conjunction with my Roland VR-1HD streaming mixer, a 24" 4K monitor and two 10.1" 2K touch Monitors that should be stacked and mounted on the left side of the 24 inch monitor. TOTU has checked all points and some more. This is by far the most comprehensive, feature-rich docking station I could find. The icing on the cake is the all-aluminum body with a sleek industrial design, including a tiny low-level green LED. The installation was easy and after installing the driver everything was recognized correctly. Peripherals worked as they should. I also made the most of our high-speed internet at over 950Mbps via the Ethernet port. With the ethernet port and power jack being very close together and making the most of the display settings, we all know that heat is problematic and can suffocate things, TOTU heats up pretty quickly and gets even warmer under heavy use. I decided to put it on an AC Infinity S3 120mm USB silent fan. The fan blows on the TOTU. I also used GorillaGrit's rubber isolation pads to elevate the fan off the table and improve CFM airflow. The fan size is perfect. However, temperatures hover comfortably below 80°F with the highest recorded temperature being close to 82°F. The coldest area is the bottom of TOTU with a constant temperature of 24°C. I just thought a fan was needed since the case doesn't have any vents and I'm happy with that. There's also a small issue with the included USB-C cable. Although well built and very flexible, it wobbles a lot when plugged in. I fixed all this by replacing the cable with an IF certified NekTeck Type-C cable. The Neckeck cable isn't that flimsy, but it provides a very strong and secure connection with absolutely no wobble on either end. All in all, this TOTU is the nicest, neatest, most durable, feature-packed docking station that won't break the bank. It's really in a league of its own and I highly recommend it.
