works with two LG 27UK850-W 27 " 4K UHD IPS monitors

The 1st release version (not updated) didn't seem to be able to run both monitors at the same time (I couldn't figure it out after an hour of trial and error cable swapping), so I had to plug one of the monitors directly into my Yoga C3906 13IKB (USB C) and the other into my Totu, making it pointless to have a docking station (I now had two Cable to connect to my laptop This is an (updated) device that controls one monitor via HDMI and the other via DP cables, which is clearly communicated in…

Good, not good at docking stations

I bought this dock to use with a MacBook I got for work. It works most of the time, but I'm not very happy with it. Let's start with the positive things. It gives my monitors good quality (they're only 1080p so I can't speak to 4k skills) and allows me to use 3 at a time as well as my laptop's screen; 4 total. For me, that was the main argument for the sale and the only reason why I accepted it. There are many other disadvantages to this. The first problem is that it powers my MacBook, but not…

Surface Book 2 compatibility confirmed

Using the latest Displaylink driver by downloading directly from the Displaylink official website, I can confirm that the updated TOTU Dock is 100% compatible with Microsoft Surface Book 2 (see first photo). I was looking for a triple display (2 x Displayport + 1 x HDMI) to use in conjunction with my Roland VR-1HD streaming mixer, a 24" 4K monitor and two 10.1" 2K touch Monitors that should be stacked and mounted on the left side of the 24 inch monitor. TOTU has checked all points and some…

It takes some work but it's worth it

I have to admit I had very high expectations for this dock after reading the reviews. I couldn't figure out why in God's name it had two DisplayPort outputs and only one HDMI output, but that'll be covered soon. The setup I wanted was three screens, a dual screen system for my MacBook Pro to be used as a workstation and the third output went to a 4K TV which I use to extend my desktop and display multimedia could. sorted out all the drivers and, more importantly, got the right cables. One of my

Now I have 4 monitors!

I just bought an HP Specter x360 13 inch laptop to replace my old Surface Book (1st gen). I used a Surface Book with a Surface Dock and two external monitors in addition to the SB monitor and it was great. But I also have another monitor waiting to be used (for something other than my Nintendo Switch). When I saw that this docking station allowed me to use all my monitors with my new laptop, I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. Installation was easy. First I installed the drivers…

Nice universal docking station for my MacBook Pro!

UPDATE 16.07. After updating my Mac to version 10.15.6, it said that the DisplayLink extension was no longer allowed. I updated the driver to the latest version to fix this, which it did. HOWEVER, the monitor I connected via Displayport shows up as a mirrored display of my HDMI monitor even though it shows as extended in the system settings. and I definitely did NOT have "mirror display" enabled (enabled and disabled myself to be sure). I find mirroring useless so I just lost my screen which…
