...this is my winner! I tried four other manufacturers of similar lamps, 16 in all; a year later there was only one left and most of them embarrassingly died shortly after purchase. I was able to give back some, but not everything. However, this one! Of the five brands, these are the most versatile. You can choose three lighting modes: warm (yellowish), cool (bright white) or a combination of both. The combined setting produces the brightest light of any brand. A competitor's kit came with a remote that offered several special effects (fade, sync, etc.), but all but one stopped working shortly after purchase. These guys glow more evenly than other brands and are very sensitive to movement (which is a plus for me). They're also the slimmest of any brand, so they fit perfectly under my countertop to illuminate the floor when I head into the kitchen. I now have them in my closets, bathrooms and laundry room, and another under my bed for reference to furniture I would otherwise come across in the dark. learn from me Don't waste your time, money and energy on anything else.
