That's what I like about this scoop, I bought it two years ago and it has worked great. The backstory of our home: My husband and I rescue furry babies (mostly cats), nurse them to the best acceptable health, provide neutering/neutering and vaccinations, socialize and then adopt them into our permanent homes. It is very important to have good tools. Cleanliness is important. With at least 3 trays we get a LOT! I'm satisfied with how well it has held up. I have used several different litters including Yesterday's News which is a non-clumping granular litter. (I am not sponsored). It works very well with clumping and fairly well with non-clumping. For the most part, it's easy to sanitize, which brings me to the cons. I really liked the foam grip at first, but after 4 months it started to slip off as you can see in the picture. I still use it because it's so durable, but it's not that easy to manage or clean. If they changed the foam grip I would give it a 5⭐️.
