I don't like the included remote control. It's so tiny and very awkward when it comes to using the remote in the dark with the TV on. You (the user) should try to remember which button is which. I prefer big, thin remotes that fit completely in the palm of your hand. The imprint on the remote is so tiny because it also has to do with how small or tiny the remote itself is. I don't know who thought it was such a great idea to make such a small remote control. Otherwise, I think the DVD player itself is fine. If they could invent a remote for this player that has a longer, slightly wider remote with better feel and control, I might be happier with it.
