The original fragrance I purchased has a very pleasant, clean "lemon" scent that is much more effective, pleasant and longer lasting than traditional and potentially harmful chemical air fresheners. We use it to diffuse the air when the "bowl atomizer" doesn't eliminate odors completely. Also to freshen the air in rooms where our cats have just used the litter box as even a quick scoop alone is not effective enough. For any part of the home that needs a quick and *effective* boost of smell, a spray or two can do wonders. Keep it off treated wood surfaces only, as it may leave temporary (or possibly permanent) marks on the surface. Because it contains essential oils that are extremely effective on their own or in some prepared products, it's good to know or pre-test on an unseen area before spraying on any area other than the one it's designed for. I *strongly* recommend resisting the temptation to use it as a quick clothes freshener - it can detect or otherwise damage some fragile fabrics - and JUST SAY NO to any crazy ideas you might have of using it as a quick body freshener. If used incorrectly, skin rashes or even allergic reactions can occur. As with all chemical sprays and fresheners, DO NOT USE NEAR BABY OR PETS! Some essential oils are known to be very dangerous, especially to pets and possibly small children. However, I have had no issues or unwanted health side effects from use in the presence of children with moderate airborne use. As for the arrival time and the packaging of the product, it arrived very quickly, within a few days of my ordering, and was sealed tightly and securely in plastic wrap. The lid was a little loose, but there was no leakage thanks to the protective seal under the lid. This is my second time buying a refill size like mine and it's easy to use without spilling for someone with steady hands. If you get a little shaky, just use it with a small funnel and rinse the funnel thoroughly as essential oils are very strong and can penetrate some plastics and leave an odor. I would give more than 5 stars if that was an option.
