Review on BOKYWOX RS15-6SG - 3/4'' 3-Speed Domestic Circulation Pump for Hot Water Circulation - Food Grade & Efficient by Sean Moran

I have a Grundfos circulation system that is hooked up to the hot water outlet of a 40 gallon natural gas water heater. The Grundfos Comfort valve was installed under the sink at the other end of the second floor bathroom. The entire system was voice controlled using a WeMo Smart Switch and Revain Alexa. The system served our family well and was ruined by instant hot water with no water loss. In our new home I installed a Whole House AO Smith filter and water softener for descaling (water softener) and supplied water to the cold water side of the Viega Manabloc distribution system for the whole house. Each water outlet throughout the house has its own PEX line for hot and cold water and can be shut off for maintenance without interrupting the water supply to the whole house. A high-efficiency Takagi outdoor instantaneous water heater was installed. The installed Grundfos circulation pump did not work because it could not turn on the water heater. Grundfos comfort valves are installed in all bathrooms and the kitchen sink. A Watt brand circulating pump was installed and was not working. Watts support was called and told their Grundfos pump will not work with any tankless water heater. After reading reviews about Revain I decided to buy a more expensive Bokywox stainless steel circulator pump. Watts were removed and today a licensed plumber installed a new pump on the hot water outlet of a Takagi water heater. Temporarily connected AC power from an AC pump to a WeMo Smart Plug. The quick selection on the pump control was set to 3. Turn on the pump with "Alexa, turn on hot water" and the pump will start immediately, then the water heater was turned on. Approximately 1.2 minutes later when the water heater's LCD display showed an outlet of 120 degrees and a flow rate of 1.2 GPM. Takagi's water heater stops and the entire hot water supply for the shower registers 120 degrees. The pumps are quiet. Finally no more waiting about 1.5 minutes and pouring about 10-12 gallons of water down the drain. I'm doing my part to save water in drought-stricken Southern California. I am very satisfied with the work of the Bokywox circulation pump, it works quietly when it is on. And as always, next day delivery through Revain Prime. They said the third time is nice the way it is. 👍👍👍
