. The lids weren't very secure, but kids didn't usually close them. I don't know if it was because they didn't fit well or if they just didn't want to wear them. We had a moving company pack our house and store our belongings for 6 weeks while we traveled across the country. One of them was packed, the other stayed with us in our RV the whole time. When we unpacked our new house, it had melted and is no longer standing up. The other didn't melt, but stood outside in our shady but warm south-facing garden for 2 days and then melted too. Both also have some scratches, making it difficult to see through them clearly. I would probably buy them again but I would have to be very careful about cleaning them and bringing them indoors for storage. Annoying as they are quite large/bulky. I don't want to buy them again but they were really fun while they lasted (which was about a year). Maybe we'll just go back to the ice bucket instead.
