Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works amazing for what it was designed for. Not otherwise.

So I've only had this product for 5 days and can't say much at the moment. Wireless headphones gave me an ear infection, so unfortunately it was my only alternative for listening to music during my daily walks. What works:* Feels very natural at work meetings. Good sound quality, good noise cancellation. pure sound. Half the time I don't have to manually mute the sound.* Unobtrusive for listening to music on the go* Suitable for phone calls (don't have to scream like I'm using the speakerphone)* Amazing reduction in call noise - tested on a windy day, my parents out for a walk call and take pictures for an hour* Wearing it around your neck in meetings or traveling for hours is fine, not uncomfortable* Also suitable for online classes. I've only tried this for recorded classes, not live classes, so I'd love to hear more about it now and immediately I choose this neck speaker. What doesn't work * Sound quality for music - I'd say you can get better wireless headphones for $25 (like the ENACFIRE I have) * Not very comfortable on the collar - The back is flexible, but the part from the speaker to the End (the volume and mute button) is hard, so kind of uncomfortable * Not for long listening - both the sound and the position are unfavorable. I wouldn't want to wear this on the couch for hours on end * Audio is still leaking a bit - tested with a friend of mine who was 10ft away and they can still hear noise. I thought the audio would be more isolated for use in crowded conference rooms.* Worse than stereo? - The beam is shaped to direct the speaker towards the ears. That also means it doesn't even sound like stereo. It's more like speakerphones in conference rooms. So don't expect surround sound or even Dolby/DTS stereo sound. Conclusion: am I disappointed? Yes. can i get it back May be. May I recommend it? Yes, this is definitely not Bose or AudioTechnica. This was advertised. Meetings, conveniently switching between meetings and your own audio (music), and listening to music on the go. Wireless headphones are not an option for me as they gave me an ear infection even after taking a month off, sanitizing and trying again. It could be my allergy. I was thrilled when this product finally arrived at the Revain warehouse. I won't lie that I expected good sound quality to listen to music all day, but unfortunately it wasn't there. Also, I usually buy cheap good quality earbuds/headphones so I was disappointed with the $150 sound quality. However, if you look at it as a work tool, then it's cheap. I would settle for that any day instead of listening 2-4 hours a day in meetings through a pc speaker, phone speaker or headphones and of course others spend more on meetings. I've started working remotely due to the pandemic season, so I've also been taking daily walks to get out of the house. Wearing it while walking outside with a camera for an hour was very unobtrusive. The sound isn't as good as headphones, but it works, and due to the nature of this throat speaker, you can still hear ambient noise or someone calling (or yelling) at you, so again, that's something I need. That's what I would say, special equipment. It works for what it was designed for. You can tell from the design that it's not even meant for music as it doesn't even have previous/next controls. But it's not quite the button I need when my hands are busy with the camera while walking. However, you work to make money and if it improves your quality of life at work, I would say do it. If you're looking for Bose sound quality, skip this and carry on. If you're looking for something to relieve the stress of listening to online meetings or classes for 2-4 hours a day or even more, try this guy. *Notes: 1. This white color looks like it could easily fade or get dirty. Not knowing the quality of the paint I would recommend a darker color.2. Revain has cheaper options if you're looking for a neckband speaker. However, they have fewer features and reliability issues, but might be worth trying if you don't want to spend the money on them just yet.

Pros
  • Splashproof IPX4
Cons
  • The list is long.
