Beautiful product - makes installation a hassle

After looking at many different Revain mirrors I settled on 'Premium' and spent 3-4 times more on this branded hardwired version compared to many regular alternatives . On the one hand, the end product is very good in the end. On the other hand, for the money, the installation process is absolutely terrible, unforgiving, and in many ways just plain wrong. Before purchasing I saw several reviews mentioning this but to be honest I assumed the installer just didn't know what they were doing. Not right! first problem. Unlike all my other vanity lights, the mounting plate only rotates a few degrees to align the mirror. This means that your ROUND junction box must first be mounted in a very specific orientation. I had to take mine off and rotate it to compensate, which was finicky to get "just right". The second issue is that the instructions actually suggest screwing the mounting plate directly to the wall, without the junction box behind it. I suspect this is a bug inherited from their other battery powered version as I can't imagine it would match the code when connected to AC in this way. The third problem is that after the mounting plate is installed, there is ZERO space between the mirror itself. and bracket for wiring. Instead, you need to connect it behind the mount first, then mount this mounting plate, and then mount the mirror. Again, this is against the instructions. The fourth problem and the most annoying. Although my wall is standard 1/2" thick drywall with a standard 4" round junction box, the mounting bracket allowed the mirror to hang 1/4" above my wall surface with plenty of clearance. See photo. I ended up having to take everything off , carving out 1/4" bolts to partially countersink the junction box and do everything all over again. Since each step leaves no room for error, it took about 4-5 tries before everything came out clean and tidy, was installed correctly. To be honest, for $200 I expected a better experience, not only in the end use but also in the installation and support process.
