This is a great mid-range ceiling fan. I love the classic rustic design. Two levers connected to each blade balance the design between wood and metal mounting. I prefer the dark side of the blade over the lighter side of the plywood. As with all ceiling fans, assembly is required. Assembly is fairly easy, but can be tricky depending on how your current outlet is secured. If you are uncomfortable working with electricity, call a handyman. I call it a mid-range ceiling fan because it has more features than a basic 4-blade fan, but it lacks some key features. We currently have a higher quality fan in the dining room (double the price). With it, the wings are a few inches longer, it has a built-in remote control and the fan has 6 speeds. In addition, the high-end fan uses LED lamps instead of compact fluorescent lamps. This is a very good fan. Quiet engine, beautiful design. If you are happy with the whole build (especially the electrical part) then this fan might be the one for you.
