Ambient light, no remote control.

This 22 pound light looks well made and built to last. You can easily assemble it when it arrives. This is ambient light; delicate amber color. For those of us who prefer side lights over bright overhead lights, this would be a good choice. The look is sleek and stylish (like a ceiling fan) and you can choose between light wood or dark brown blades. If you're replacing an existing fan, this is an easy DIY solution. Overall it took my husband about an hour to install it in our living room. But…

Attractive and functional

This fan was installed for me by a professional electrician as he installed all the fans in my house. He said this is the default; It took him about an hour to remove the existing fan and then assemble it. The bulbs supplied with the fan are not dimmable. So if you plan to use it with a dimmer, use other bulbs. This fan does not come with a remote control, which surprised me. An aftermarket remote control kit is available but for a fan at this price point I think the remote should be included…

Nice design, wish there were more bells and whistles

This is a great mid-range ceiling fan. I love the classic rustic design. Two levers connected to each blade balance the design between wood and metal mounting. I prefer the dark side of the blade over the lighter side of the plywood. As with all ceiling fans, assembly is required. Assembly is fairly easy, but can be tricky depending on how your current outlet is secured. If you are uncomfortable working with electricity, call a handyman. I call it a mid-range ceiling fan because it has more…

Beautiful Deco Fan/Light

This is a cool fan. The frosted, bell-shaped fixture gives it an art deco look, and with the dark side of the slats down, it gives our office the feel of a very old gentlemen's club. Now if only I could afford a couple of leather armchairs. Took me just under an hour to install but my ceiling is a bit high so it's probably more than average. You can hook it up to a dual switch so one switch controls the fan and the other the light, or you can simply fit it in place of your existing ceiling…

This is normal in our bedroom or living room where we stayed.

Installation was easy. I connected it to separate switches to control the light and fan. Maybe in the future I'll switch the lights to LED, but for now I'm using incandescent bulbs. Advantages: - Reversible fan switch. In warm weather, run the fan counterclockwise to avoid overheating. Run it clockwise in winter to circulate warm air from the ceiling and eliminate cold spots and drafts. Cons: - No remote control. You need to control it from the light switch or from the fan itself. - Dim the…
