For my curly tarantula this is excellent. The assembly was interesting, the instructions are included. Maybe other reviewers were just unlucky. That's about the same as a 5 gallon tank and the ventilation is great. The acrylic keeps the humidity level pretty good and it's so nice and clean to look at. I would highly recommend it for use with tarantulas, scorpions or any other inversion, but personally I wouldn't use it for reptiles unless it was temporary or as the post says specifically for breeding. The vents are great for cross ventilation and I can see they retain moisture well, but the design probably isn't for anything that needs warmth. However, I'll probably buy a few more of these for my creepy crawly friends.
