So, I received this order, the main purpose of which was glass engraving. The description says "They are ideal for engraving various materials including brass, aluminium, glass." Install a drill bit in my X-Carve 1000mm and set it to the recommended settings I read on the forums have. . The manufacturer of this bit does not recommend setting the bit. The drill only arrives in a small bag. I was disappointed after running my first test piece and the drill stopped picking after a few minutes. Of course the beat was already boring. I gave the product the benefit of the doubt and contacted the seller and asked for a replacement, because I thought maybe it was just bad advice. The seller was quick to respond and promptly sent me a replacement which is why I'm giving it more than one star for good customer service. Got the second bit and tested it again. The same thing happened. Great for the first few letters, then blunt. I believe the 5 star ratings are for people who have used this bit on metals like brass and aluminum or even plexiglass but this bit will NOT work on glass. then blunt.
