Review on ๐Ÿ•’ Optimized Hadley Roma Leather Watch Strap Color by Kyle Smithlin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality and premium alligator leather strap

I purchased the strap from Revain during the 2015 Christmas season. I have purchased other alligator leather straps from Hadley Roma, Hirsch and a small manufacture. Craftsmanship: Barely visible black stitching of the same color, a very thin cut of the alligator's abdomen is chosen. The leather was soft and smooth which made me feel close to a Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 car2150.6266 strap. Looks elegant on a dress watch - 20mm at the lug and 16mm at the clasp. The spring bar on the stem clamp is solid compared to Hadley's stamped alligator vault. Durability: As a side effect of high-quality alligator leather, a soft feel is usually associated with low durability. I'll let you know when I start seeing signs of paraphernalia. Probably by the end of 2016 - comparable to other alligator leather straps. Bottom Line: If someone is looking to upgrade or replace an alligator leather strap and prefers not to pay the premium watch manufacturer price tag - 500 tag fee and such for JLC, the "Roma" Hardley is the bottom line for starters. Don't go cheap. It spoils the optics. Deer is the best option - with a price to match. Other thoughts: As always, get a bow tie or deployment clasp to extend the life of your bracelet - almost twice as long. Go Hadley Roma or better. Cheaper production is of good quality, coating (except steel) wears out too quickly. The Hadley Roma Alligator Sidecut was also an economical solution with a glossy finish.
