I use it on my exercise bike. It was easy to install. Fits iPhone 12 lengthways or iPad Air 2 (both orientations). Of course, you can also rotate and tilt the mount for an optimal viewing angle. There are two yellow grip loops to spread the spring loaded jaws to allow you to insert/remove the tool - FYI this is definitely a two handed operation. The grips are wide enough to hold the iPad with the lid on, and they're made of soft rubber with a slight rib to keep the devices from slipping out. Works fine for me.
