Good Gear Set

This is a good set of gears for my mini lathe although it did not have an Allen key set screw and the pack was desirable. The belt drive wheel was slightly damaged, most likely during shipping, but burrs and nicks appeared with 120 grit sandpaper. I didn't notify the company because I wanted them installed.

4mm keyways are good bang for the buck once you are comfortable with the setup.

The gears are good but need cleaning as expected. The keyway is 4mm which I don't see in the description. My car has 3mm keys so I had to make step keys and attach them to the shafts. So they're not just plug and play if you don't have 4mm grooves in your current machine. The gears worked well, although once reasonably priced if you could work with them.

A little deep on the shaft, but otherwise good.

I bought these for my 7x14 mini lathe. It came with plastic gears and one was already cracked when I got the lathe. This kit contains all the gears you need to replace the plastic gears including the 2 speed gear in the headstock. The fit and finish is not fantastic. The hole is a little smaller so you'll have to sand it down a bit to get your waves in. The teeth are sharp and have burrs. I cleaned them with a wire wheel on a bench grinder and it really helped.
