Review on 🔧 Mophorn CJ0618 Metal Cutting Machine Exchange by Robert Moloney

I bought these for my 7x14 mini lathe. It came with plastic gears and one was already cracked when I got the lathe. This kit contains all the gears you need to replace the plastic gears including the 2 speed gear in the headstock. The fit and finish is not fantastic. The hole is a little smaller so you'll have to sand it down a bit to get your waves in. The teeth are sharp and have burrs. I cleaned them with a wire wheel on a bench grinder and it really helped. This kit includes timing belt pulleys and a timing belt suitable for dual speed lathes. Belt length and sprocket on two speed lathes are different and these parts will not work if you have one speed. The motor-side toothed belt wheel has no feather key and no threaded pin. You need to find a way to attach it to the motor shaft. I drilled and tapped a set screw. Please note that they are noisy. Much more than plastic gears. I have attached a video showing them working on my lathe. I would definitely buy them again regardless of fit and finish.
