Review on MSI GE76 Raider I7 11800H Thunderbolt by Adam Kotowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

I'll start from the end. It is very unpleasant to keep your hands on it for two reasons: 1 - this is because of the metal surface of the case. Even if the laptop is not connected to charging, you feel an unpleasant electrostatic effect. 2 - because of the sharp edge under the arms. Perhaps if the table is lower, or the chair is higher, then the 2nd will not be a problem. The keyboard layout is not tolerant. In my version it is in 2 languages. Usually 2022 and Latin ones are made the same size, spaced in the corners, but here the Latin ones are large in the center, and the 2022 ones are small at the bottom. Not very common, but not so critical. The layout of the keyboard is terribly uncomfortable, the arrow buttons drove under the Numpad (a block with numbers), which interferes with the quick search for keys when moving hands. Removed several familiar keys (Puse break and context menu buttons), added others. FN was moved to the other side for some reason. In general, for the same dimensions, the Acer Aspire has a much better keyboard. I found a SteelSeries program that changes or disables the LED backlight along the edge of the laptop, but alas, I still haven’t found how to turn off iridescent colors on the keyboard .

Pros
  • Powerful. Cheaper with the same filling as competitors. Beautiful.
Cons
  • Keyboard outlines. Keyboard layout. Lack of necessary buttons (Puse break and context menu buttons). electrified surface. Rib cutting hand. Iridescent keyboard (did not find how to turn it off). A very large power supply, almost the size of a laptop (not critical, but still).
