I don't understand why I should give a bad review about these brushes. *If they weren't broken I'd understand* BUT, here's a 100% honest opinion from a makeup junkie. I receive my package today. Luckily nothing broke. It was packed very well and neatly. I unpack every brush. single . I always read the reviews before buying, I was expecting a scent from these brushes because that's what I saw in most of the reviews I read. & Yes, it is true . There is a strong odor when you smell the brushes, even "beauty blenders" and brush cleaners. But they cost a whopping $10. You can't expect everything to be perfect when it comes to the thesis. If that's what you're looking for, spend your check on brushes and stop looking for it on Amazon! Either way, a quick wash is all you need. All I did was take my cheap ELF brush cleaner and "clean" one at a time. the smell was gone immediately. Which is a plus. Now clean yourself. They are very soft both in look and feel. I'm sure they will do the job. I am very happy with this purchase and I have absolutely no objection to buying them again.
