🔪 G TING Whetstone Sharpener with Flattening Feature Review

This set says I was able to sharpen a few knives with it. I have found that my stainless steel knives require a little more effort and some are almost impossible. I've been sharpening knives most of my life, so it's not a lack of skill. I also found that the grit of the stones is imprecise, 8000 grit should be smooth. I found it a bit stiff, 1000 is softer than 8000. I think you get what you pay for. My understanding is that this is related to the magazine stone not being used on a good knife.

This review is for a knife sharpening stone set, a G-TING 400/1000 sharpening stone and a 3000/8000 sharpening stone. The honing paste block doesn't spread as evenly as I expected. However, I have no experience of using paste this way, so I may look into it over time. Sharpening stones are perfect. This is definitely not for beginners who are sure that it is very easy to curl the blade's edge and destroy the geometry. I'm new to sharpening knives etc This set seemed like a complete solution for those wanting to learn so I ordered it. It has a good mix of rough and fine stones, looks like an excellent quality product and at a good price. So far I have sharpened two handle kitchen knives and a Narex chisel. Sharpened my poor quality fiberglass knives pretty well! It takes some time (as it should), but it's worth the time and effort.
