Very good radio! for in-dash navigation

Bought a 7 inch S8G2A78UL-N for a 2012 GMC Sierra. Stored steering wheel control with RP5-GM31 canbus decoder. Installation: Tried the Idoing decoder first but it had two signal lines which I couldn't get to work with this radio. Switched to the above decoder, turned the dial to 7 for Pioneer/Other, plugged in the 3.5mm -Socket in and it recognizes button presses instantly, after which you program the software functions yourself. Screen: It is quite bright and clear but can be dimmed using the built in drop down menu option and overlaid with a red tint for easier night driving I added an HD screen protector before the setup, so I don't know if it will work for highlights. The touchscreen responds very well. Home screen: You can move apps and widgets anywhere, just like on a regular tablet. So it's pretty neat. It's also the first time since I haven't seen other radios that allow changing apps on their desktops without adding third party software/launchers. Sound: The sound is quite clear and loud. No problem, goes well with my factory speakers. I understand that some headsets have a slight hum, but that's probably due to EMI. I separated the audio cables from the power cables to minimize this effect. You should think about protection and see if that helps. I have no background noise. Android Auto: Built-in AA, so no dongles required. It might look a little different, but I think this version works better. And yes, the USB will charge your phone when connected to the AA/Radio. Overall: The radio is very fast and responsive. The radio itself isn't too deep (thick) either, so I can hide the decoder and other cables behind it without pinching anything, and still leave room for other cables.
