I have a small Yorkie with a tender stomach. He couldn't tolerate raw frozen dog food so I tried this freeze dried dog food. He is very good at handling and absorbing it. The food is in small pieces which I think helps him a lot with eating. It's also less runny and softer than frozen dog food. A few notes: you will need to add warm water to this lining and I suggest covering it with water and letting it sit for five minutes. I've found that sometimes my dog doesn't digest it fully if I don't soak it long enough. This means if your dog doesn't like water in their food, it may not be for your dog. Also, you may need to adjust the food until you understand how much your dog needs. I watch my dog's weight because a pound for a ten pound dog is very important anyway. My Yorkie eats more than the recommended amount of this food to maintain his weight. It's pure protein and veg, and so far the company seems to be very respectful and attentive to its ingredients. The price also seems reasonable for raw freeze dried dog food, especially if you have a small dog. For my previous large dogs, I mixed this food with quality kibble to keep it affordable.
