I bought my Nutribullet probably over a decade ago and the one pictured with the fewest warnings is my original blade. After all this usage, as far as I can tell, the only difference between the two is the warning label. The new one has more warnings. It's as sharp as my original knife and takes just as long to make a smoothie. He has made thousands of frozen berry and frozen banana smoothies and is still working. I bought this for my brother who put it on the top shelf of the dishwasher and the part that was on the shelf melted. So do not wash this part in the dishwasher with hot water. I was expecting this new piece to be sharper than the original so I'd say it only speaks to the durability of Nutribullit products. On their website, they recommend replacing this part every six months, and mine has lasted for decades, without going through the dishwasher of course. But the blades stay sharp and I take the pad off and clean the bit after every smoothie, which for some reason they don't recommend. All I can say about it is disgusting. When I clean it, I find smoothie chunks in the pad section every time. If not cleaned, it will contaminate every subsequent smoothie.
