No trick with rivets
I admit I was skeptical when I bought it but it works well. I didn't have to remove many rivets, like 30 or so, but a slip would have been a disaster. However, I had to be very careful when drilling freehand, and even with care, the drill bit can wobble. The end of the tool is slightly concave so that it is pressed against the rivet head and the drilling depth is adjustable. An hour of freehand work took about 10 minutes with tools, but above all no slipping and therefore no damage.
