First of all, you need to know what this product does not do. This is not self contained. It has no battery. It requires external USB power and is too small to expect to fit in a giant queen bed. Clear? Good. Well here's why I love it: I use it to inflate and deflate air mattresses for camping trips. Not only is this easier than light inflation, but it also prevents the mattress from filling up with condensation. This not only prevents the accumulation of dirt inside, but also helps maintain thermal insulation in cold weather. The air release function is also very practical, because it can be difficult to squeeze the last drop of air out of an air mattress. It's incredibly light at just over 2 ounces. This means that even an ultralight backpacker can take it with them without too much worry. Yes, a USB battery is required for operation. With all the other USB powered/rechargeable devices I carry around, I always carry the battery with me. If not, then it would be foolish to take the battery just for this pump. But if you already have a battery pack, then this little pump will only add a few ounces to your pack's weight. and makes setting up and camping that much more enjoyable every day. It's a bit noisy but honestly I don't care - it doesn't last that long and I don't camp that close to others. 5 stars across the board.
