I took several of these as protection from hurricanes. I didn't have to use them, but I was wondering if they would actually help when the time came or if they would just burn out the batteries. I have a sick oscellaris clown that I had to put in QT. Like most reefers I didn't have a QT setup so I had to improvise with a bucket, some clean salt water and a bubbler to speed up the gas exchange. It took me three days to install a makeshift hospital reservoir. This little bubbler has been running about 18 hours a day for three days. I turn it off for a few hours a day so the fish can sleep in peace. Works great, lasts a long time but noisy. Fair deal if it saves my tank in an emergency.
