Heads work. I wouldn't say they worked the way they intended, but for the price and four powerheads, you get what you pay for. Sure, every now and then when you turn them on the flow goes in the opposite direction, but how often do you turn them off. And if they are upside down, press the power button and turn it back on. Again direct current viola. But don't expect to hook it up to your automatic wave controller and think you've got it. This is not the type of facility. On the upside, they have great flow. Don't make too much noise, even if they are very unpredictable, at this price you can't go wrong.
