After purchasing this for my 2018 CR-V in January I finally got around to installing it. As other reviewers have pointed out, and like other products I've bought from this company in the meantime, I doubt this is real leather. Once installed, however, it lays down easily and feels good in the hand. Just a few setup tips I would like: You really need to think about how you are going to create the stitch pattern. If you want the stitches to match the cover, you need to figure out how to do that. There are no videos or instructions in English. I used single thick thread, but I think the stitches on the cover were already done with double thick thread. The kit comes with two needles and yes, the first one broke off on the ear. You press firmly on the needle to manipulate it through the holes. The first two stitches are by far the most difficult. They are located on the underside of the handle and a small mirror is required. When I got to the pole, everything was easy. Finally, I suggest tying a few knots, then inserting the needle into the lid and popping out through one of the holes or between the edges. Then pull vigorously and cut close to the lid. The free end goes into the housing, and no thread sticks out at the bottom. Looks good, let's see how it wears. Only three stars because it's not leather. Now let's try to cover the steering wheel.
