Good option for a niche
Convenient and easy to install. I would recommend using a diamond tipped oscillating tool to carve a small recess (niche contour) in the cement board if you want your tile to be very flat. The flange is thin and flatten it with a thin set as they state the instructions will work for the most part but I do this for a living and my clients expect super flat.
