At the time it was advertised as waterproof/waterproof, I'm not sure if he's still talking about that. My daughter wanted to keep them because they are pink and camo. The cables frayed at the ends and the biggest problem was that they weren't waterproof or durable. It is a great pain to dry and clean them every time. the fabric is fibrous but the sole is soft and doesn't offer much grip, the whole boot is more like a slipper, I don't recommend short walks or moderate walks/hikes. NOT for winters with snow or water/humidity.
