I was surprised at how good the sound quality was for the price. These certainly aren't Bose headphones, but they're pretty damn good. The wireless transmitter works at a distance of about 30 feet. I left the living room and went into the kitchen (separated by a wooden wall) and the signal started dropping. I was about 20 feet from the wall between them. FYI if you have a very large room this is only ok in a site line setup. I have about 8 hours in these headphones and haven't seen/heard any sign that the batteries are still dead. I haven't found the best wide/narrow/normal settings yet, you lose something important either near or far if you just don't keep it normal. The default bass/treble boost settings are pretty good, I seem to like a setting that boosts both bass and treble at the same time. Build quality seems great considering the price. Is the woman happy that she doesn't have to constantly hear shots and racing cars?
