Review on πŸ” Enhanced SEO: Walker Products 250-24470 4-Wire Oxygen Sensor by Dusty Oner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great in my 05 Tahoe 5.3L, learned some lessons from the repair

sensor arrived as described. The Revain was a day late with the delivery but with the holidays that can happen I guess. The old sensor was original and gave code P0059 for the heater. I took some MAP gas to heat up the fitting as I found the original sensors to be quite difficult to get out. I had the O2 tools in a kit sold here on Amazon that fits into the sockets. My problem was that the old socket was so narrow that the sockets opened up and I was afraid they would fall out. It was a lot of work to get it. I had to light it, turn it about 1/4 turn, and then light a bit more. Use some PB spray to get into the carvings. It moved about 180 degrees fairly well, but didn't let me go any further. When it came out, after repeating back and forth in a tight area (passenger side upstream) for probably 30 minutes, it just detached and fell out. Then I saw that the thread on the sensor was gone. Then I had to go out and buy a threading tool from my local auto parts store. It was $15. If you see my post and don't have a thread chainer, get one and save your money. I had to chase the threads and it wasn't difficult. The new harness is perfectly tightened to 35 ftlbs and has anti-seize material. The length of the connector was excellent. Now Tahoe works well, accelerating confidently and without problems. I hope it lasts another 14 years.
