If you just walk your dog on the sidewalk, this vest might be fine as long as the vest doesn't snag on the bushes. We wanted it for the Hunting season because we live in a village. My dog has worn these twice and the vest didn't fit at all. The material snags very easily, resulting in many tears. The part that goes around my dog's neck is also separate from the part that covers his back. He literally only wore that vest TWICE. For me this vest was a waste of money.
