Review on 🐠 Hikari USA AHK72236 Ultimate Cloram-X Water Conditioner for Aquarium, 16 oz by Katie Miller

Have used it before in the past. It consists of ClorAm-X, also known as Sodium Hydroxymethanesulfonate, which Amquel Plus uses. However, in my experience, Ultimate has a more stable formula. It appears to reduce oxygen much less than other dechlorinators. Additionally, it does not add sulfates to the water, which would otherwise allow denitrifying bacteria to turn their end bioprocesses into toxic hydrogen sulfide. I'm glad the shipping company didn't completely smash the product as it looked very flat, almost on the verge of breaking the seal. Interesting things on the internet about the main ingredients in this product, I found out that it is not completely safe for all fish. There are also false positives with ammonia test kits if overdosed (doesn't let you know how much total ammonia). Because of this, I had to switch to a different product. But I've kept the cap to put on other drip-dosed products (for the smaller aquariums I have).
