I've bought about 30-40 charging cables in the last 3-4 years. Why so much? We will because I have a cable shredder, aka my playful 8-year-old son. It has the unique ability to break and destroy even the supposedly strongest cables. So naturally I was looking for the best of the best and most durable cables. The Anker III power cable used to be the best cable I had, but yes it still managed to break it. After switching to USB-C cables, the powerline cable I got wasn't nearly as good as the previous ones (non-USB-C). So I chose this cable and am very glad I did. Here is a summary. The cable itself is very thick and even hard. The cable interface connection is also very good. They use a slightly flexible but very strong connector housing. This almost always happens when the cables fail, the ground wire or other element is severed, or the cable tag is opened where the cable connects to the connector. It doesn't look like there will be a problem with this cable. I'll update when it eventually happens, and yes, there hasn't been a cable yet that my son won't *eventually* break, but I think he has his best job ahead of him. Was surprised how strong this cable really is. So if you're looking for a nearly indestructible cable, this is the best I've found and I've bought LOTS of the supposedly sturdy cables and they all break quickly.
