This product works great for me. There is one small catch that might be frustrating for some users: I think this product is not some kind of "wireless phone extender" but sends signals over the existing house wiring. If the base and sink are connected to the same branch, this will work. If not, then not. That's why I find that some outlets in my house work and others don't. Luckily, the outlet next to where I want the handset is the same junction as the outlet next to the phone jack. This also explains why they tell you not to use any filters, surge protectors or even extension cords for either the base or the receiver. One way to be reasonably sure this product will work for you is to consult your electrical circuit or fuse box. If two outlets are controlled by the same switch/fuse it will almost certainly work. If not, then maybe. The product has an indicator light that lets you know if it's connected, which is very handy when you don't want to analyze your house wiring.
