This is for my son's bed. Strangely, after a few washes, his newest duvet began to lose feathers and had to be thrown out. This duvet is exactly the quality you would expect at a premium price. First, the obligatory 100% cotton cover, and this one has it. You can't get warm and then have a fabric that doesn't breathe. This fabric is highly breathable as you would expect from cotton. If you're buying a duvet cover, be sure to check that out as well, as many duvet covers aren't 100% cotton. What good is a 100% cotton duvet if you have a duvet cover over it that doesn't breathe well? Second, down feathers are plentiful, and they don't move in a quilt. You stick to whatever you want in each of the little squares of the blanket. I haven't seen the feather bleed out of this comforter after multiple washes like we've seen on another before. Third, this blanket has absolutely no smell, even when wet. I could already smell the duvets. So if you're looking for fragrance-free products, you'll find them here. Fourth, this duvet has small loops in each corner to attach the inside of the duvet cover to the duvet. Most duvet covers have 2 drawstrings/ties in each inside corner that can be used to tie into loops. This will prevent the duvet from sticking together in the duvet cover. I could agree that the loops are a bit larger on this duvet as my thumbs have a hard time fastening the duvet cover, but that's not important enough to detract from the duvet's star rating. After all, the price is fair for a high-quality product. Comforters don't come cheap, so if you find a cheap one, look for the quality. It's high quality at a reasonable price. Without any real problems I give this blanket 5 stars. Buy with confidence.
