I understand there are non-brand options that can save some money. However, for a $1,000+ machine, I'd happily spend $25 for 12 tabs, which is a year for a proper purifier. The leading non-brand costs $16 for 25 tabs, which works out to about $8 a year. If you're spending over $1,000 on a coffee maker, $17 a year, about $1.50 a month, it's worth the risk of third-party cleaning tablets running through parts of your machine you don't have access to to have? For me the answer is no.
