Review on 🎧 PSB M4U 4 High Definition In-Ear Monitors: Immerse in Arctic White sound experience by Carol Davis

Nice sound, not great design/fit

I got these headphones after trying four different Chi-Fi headphones and deciding the fitting meant excessive hiss and harsh highs. As a loudspeaker manufacturer, I am very familiar with the PSB brand and the sound of these headphones reflects PSB's hi-fi know-how in many ways. To my ears, this is a balanced/juicy sound with no lack of highs, mids, or lows. Nothing superfluous. However, these headphones also demonstrate PSB's lack of experience and history in in-ear design. These are the first in-ear headphones I've had issues with. They don't seem to fit my ears quite, even though I don't have small ears. If I try to push them further, they become uncomfortable. I thought the rubber tips were the culprit so I tried experimenting with silicone tips from other manufacturers but found that the PSB is a different design/shape. So when I managed to install another pair, it changed the tone and tonal balance L/R (I'm not imagining this - I've tried several times and the same result). Last but not least, there are no memory wires or plastic hooks to secure cables around your ears. So, in my case, when I turn my head from side to side, I can feel the cables behind my ears swaying left and right - not that much, but enough to make me feel like they're breaking every second would break. But clay. :)
