I let them "burn out" for 3 days and played constantly at medium volume before listening. Unfortunately, I found that I had to apply +6dB on bass and mid-bass and -6dB on 4K and above to make them sound like normal frequency balance. I got these headphones after trying four different Chi-Fi headphones and deciding the fitting meant excessive hiss and harsh highs. An early review so I'll come back to that later. I like these earbuds better than the Bose QC 30. To my ears, they give off a relatively flat response in the 55-9000Hz range. They still play clear tone down to 17Hz(!) and up to 13,000Hz, although other people may be able to hear beyond those ranges.
