Great sound and design

I've had these headphones for over 4 years. My only complaint is that they are not wireless. However, the Lightning adapter solves the connection problem. In terms of sound, the most important thing is to find the right foam attachment and to position the earplug correctly. If you're an educated, knowledgeable, and experienced music lover, you might have reasonable questions (after all, what's the use of having experience in any field if not to criticize something), but even more discerning, if

I've used them on two long flights across the Atlantic recently and have found these monitors to sound and feel great. I bought these to replace my old Bose over-ear noise-cancelling headphones that I used primarily for flying, but they started to sound horrible and had intermittent feedback in one ear. I was worried the PSBs would let in too much aircraft noise, but to be honest they were a lot quieter than the Bose. I also like the small profile and carrying case of these PSBs. It's also easy

I love using these

After my planar magnets, these PSBs have become my favorites, especially for travel and housework. I compared them to significantly more expensive in-ear headphones and the PSB value for money was clear. I was so impressed with them that I bought a spare pair. They look good, are very comfortable, sound great, and when I need better soundproofing I wear them under the shooter's gauntlets for complete silence - except, of course, for the superb musical rendition of these beauties. They come with

very disappointed, impossible to fit.

I let them "burn out" for 3 days and played constantly at medium volume before listening. Unfortunately, I found that I had to apply +6dB on bass and mid-bass and -6dB on 4K and above to make them sound like normal frequency balance. If I don't adjust the equalizer, then there is no bass or mid-bass at all. Zero. I do not know why. With an equalizer they sound very, very good. Almost as good as my full size PSB M4U headphones. However, they don't fit my ears. I have small ear canals and it's…

The best headphones! - Headphones

I love these headphones. The best I've ever heard. I only compared it to a few but a few observations: 1) Excellent transparency. 2) Goes well with foam. It took a while to figure out how to use it as it's open all year round but once you get the hang of it it's perfect. 3) Great bass. Deep and dense, without boom. I compared it to some other headphones I have. It's better than RBH EP3 which is excellent in its own way. The EP3 has even deeper and louder bass, but I like the PSB M4U 4 better…

Nice sound, not great design/fit

I got these headphones after trying four different Chi-Fi headphones and deciding the fitting meant excessive hiss and harsh highs. As a loudspeaker manufacturer, I am very familiar with the PSB brand and the sound of these headphones reflects PSB's hi-fi know-how in many ways. To my ears, this is a balanced/juicy sound with no lack of highs, mids, or lows. Nothing superfluous. However, these headphones also demonstrate PSB's lack of experience and history in in-ear design. These are the first…

Balanced Frequency Response and Noise Isolation

An early review so I'll come back to that later. I like these earbuds better than the Bose QC 30. To my ears, they give off a relatively flat response in the 55-9000Hz range. They still play clear tone down to 17Hz(!) and up to 13,000Hz, although other people may be able to hear beyond those ranges. The bass isn't as strong as the Bose headphones I tested them with, although they can produce stable audio at lower frequencies. The Bose headphones I compared had a static sound with clear tones at
